JOHAN
KROPP
Hi, I'm Johan — a post-production artist working across 3D, motion design, video editing, compositing, sfx and more!
I'm a self-taught generalist with a strong drive for creating stimulating visuals.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked on a range of projects — from stylized 3D worlds and motion graphics to building up a small post-production pipeline. I excel at moulding the visual identity of a piece from the ground up using - art direction, editing, lighting and texturing, animation, or final compositing.  My thirst for technical knowledge allows me to tackle a wide range of challenges with overlapping levels of applied experience, compounding my skills over time.

// goals & ambitions //

Relationship building and working with passionate, respectful creatives who still seek to do what they enjoy, while having fun with the experiece - is deeply important to my process of 'keeping the drive alive'.
This i what i want to focus on currently.

Sharing knowledge and teaching is also something I find to be gratifying, I want to explore this idea in the coming years, but feel like i still have some learning left to do myself.
I believe in the approach that using the right tool for the job and building a strong foundation for every project through proper R&D is healthier for the artist and the final results.
Learning new software — well designed, scalable tools, worth the investment - Houdini is the primary this year.

Looking forward to a machine accelerated future, staying curious and working smart is the key to producing results.
